Policy of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board - re: hiring of staff, assistants and volunteers All new staff, including assistants and volunteers, must be interviewed by the Principal and Coordinator of the Adult and Continuing Education Program. Furthermore, a police check, a WHMIS safety course, a reference check, a medical examination and a tuberculosis test, and the completion of a series of forms are needed. This procedure can take up to 6 weeks. No staff, assistants or volunteers may work in the classroom until all requirements have been met and approved. |
